Security & Peacebuilding

SECURITY & PEACEBUILDING

In the face of a growing number of conflicts and unresolved crises across the globe, the need to build resilience and political stability within and among states has never been more urgent. Figures estimate that military and other types of violence kill more than half a million people every year. Vulnerable groups (women, children, disabled people) often bear the brunt of such violence. As such, INANGA commits to support efforts in peacebuilding, stabilization and security. It possesses significant expertise in Security Sector Reform (SSR), community policing, conflict analysis and studies and capacity building of security actors.

Primarily active in West and Central Africa, the INANGA consultants team has partnered with international organisations such as the UNDP, ENABEL and DCAF-ISSAT, international NGOs like Search for Common Ground, as well as academic actors (Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, ARES), to conduct various activities including research and analysis of conflict dynamics, mapping civil society organisations active in security and human rights and project evaluation and formulation.
