INCLUSIVE ECONOMIC/
SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, ENVIRONMENT & GENDER
The effort to empower fair economic development and promote gender-sensitive policies and safe migration is a top priority for global international development, spurred on by the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Our consultants have been involved in numerous projects and evaluations that seek to understand best practices and to make recommendations to provide effective and inclusive remedies in these fields. In Burundi, INANGA consultants conducted an anthropological study that sought to analyse the cultural barriers to women’s empowerment. This study aimed to provide a better understanding of social norms limiting women’s access to economic opportunities as well as to identify social norms that support or facilitate women’s economic empowerment. Our consultants have furthermore performed policy and academic research on migration governance in the context of the Covid-19 crisis in the Indian Ocean Island States (Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles and Comoros) and in West Africa (Burkina Faso), for the research center ACMS (African Center for Migration and Society Wits University, Johannesburg, South Africa).
Last but not least, INANGA benefits from a solid experience in supporting Belgian NGOs in the implementation of every step of their project cycle (formulation, management, monitoring, evaluation).
