The objective of this evaluation was to conduct an external and objective analysis of the steps already taken in the project to support the social reintegration of prisoners, which was implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Directorate General of Penitentiary Administration and Rehabilitation (DGAPR) in 2014.
It also aimed to propose concrete and realistic recommendations and orientation for the extension phase. The UNDP and DGAPR project is part of a series of reforms aimed at modernizing the prison administration and improving the condition and reintegration of prisoners across Algeria.
